Singer Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool of Gagamel Entertainment has asked the Covid19 National Taskforce to give his donation to TB patients in Kampala, DJs and journalists to help them during the current 21-day Covid19 lockdown.

On Tuesday, Bebe Cool’s donation, that included 1,000kgs of maize flour and 600kgs of beans, was received by Health Minister Dr Jane Ruth Aceng at the Ministry of Health (MoH) headquarters in Kampala.

Minister Aceng thanked Bebe Cool and his Amber Foundation, through which the contribution was made, and appealed to distributors to ensure that the vulnerable tuberculosis patients who cannot afford food become the first beneficiaries of TB Ambassador Bebe Cool’s generosity.

A close ally of President Yoweri Museveni’s National Resistance Movement (NRM), Bebe Cool’s donation comes days after Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, his longtime rival in the music industry and now presidential hopeful, delivered relief items to the taskforce through his newly appointed People Power pressure group deputy Dr Lina Zedriga Waru Abuku.

The taskforce has so far received over Shs4.5b in financial donations, scores of vehicles and tonnes of relief food items from individuals and companies to help the vulnerable poor during the Covid19 crisis.
