Museveni’s proposed KCCA ED Dorothy Kisaka

By Kevin Patrice

President Museveni has nominated Ms Dorothy Kisaka to replace former KCCA Executive Director hours after announcing the latter’s sacking.

In the letter dated Friday 12, the President asked the Justice Ralph Ochan led Public Service Commission to interview and establish the suitability of the names proposed for the various offices at KCCA.

” I am writing to request you to interview for me the following persis and find out whether they are suitable to man the indicated offices in Kampala Capital Authority,” read the letter.

Ms Dorothy Kisaka was proposed to take the now vacant ED position which had been occupied by Andrew Kitaka in an acting capacity following pioneer Executive Director Jenepher Musisi’s resignation in October 2018.

She is a senior Presidentail advisor charged with public policy implementation in the Office of the Prime Minister.

She is to be deputised by Eng. David Luyimbaazi Ssali, who formerly served at UNRA as head of planning.

Other nominations include; Dr Okello Oyen Daniel nominated for Director Public Health and Environment. He is set to officially take up the position he has been serving in an acting capacity. Sarah Kanyike was suggested for Director Gender, Community Services and production while Ms Grace Akullo would become the new Director Human Resource and Administration.

The Akullo proposed in Museveni’s letter to the Commission is however different from the CIID boss. She is currently an Assistant Commissioner Human Resource – Public Service.

Museveni also emphasised that integrity had been used as the yardstick to arrive at the names proposed to the Commission and also added that other vacant positions within the authority be advertised and interviews arranged on behalf of the authority’s political wing.
