The last quarter-final return leg of the Stanbic Uganda cup has seen the Red Eagles book a place in the final four in the game that has been played at MTN Omondi stadium in Lugogo. The home side took a lead earlier in the 41st minute through Sadat Anaku whose effort was turned off by Martin Kizza’s penalty in the 81st minute that resulted from goalkeeper Charles Lukwago’s Elbowing Express’ Charles Musiige inside the box and the center referee Ali Kaddu handed the visitors a penalty kick.

After 90 minutes the game ended 1-1 giving the Wasswa Bossa coached side a go-ahead on away goals rule because the first leg at Wankulukuku ended goallessly. The Kasasiro boys are now left hopeless for ending the season without any silverware following also a poor run in the Startimes Uganda Premier League lining up 4th with 45 points of 26 games that have so far been played in the league. There is no way how they can finish top even if they collect maximum points from the remaining four fixtures.

Express join Bul FC, Vipers SC, and Police FC  who had earlier progressed to the semi-finals.
