Uganda Police FC has triumphed past Wakiso Giants in what has been a tough contest between the two teams at Phillip Omondi stadium in Lugogo in the quarter-final return leg of the Stanbic Uganda Cup. The visitors took an early lead in the nineteenth minute thanks to a strike from Viane Ssekajugo who later extended the lead in the sixty-fifth minute making it 2-0.

The purple sharks continued pressing for the third girl to at least push the game to extra time until the final whistle but all in vain. The corps’ first-leg advantage over the Wakiso based side of 3-1 last week at Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium was enough for Police to book a semi-final place on a 3:3 goal aggregate basing on away goals rule thanks to Derrick Kakooza, Yusuf Ssozi, and Ben Ocen’s first-leg goals. Police FC has joined Vipers SC and Bul FC who have already qualified for the last four.
