The Stanbic Business incubator has opened up an opportunity to train 200 SMEs.

SMEs along the East African Community Oil Pipeline will be trained in business development  and capacity building.

According to the Uganda Chamber of Mines, this programme will be executed together with Petroleum Authority of Uganda.

The African Development Bank will facilitate the training.

Beneficiaries will be able to meet large contractors’ demands, bank lending requirements, and potentially increase access to new markets.

SMEs are only eligible, if operational in one of the EACOP corridor districts as detailed in this link.

The training aims to give back to the community in whose backyard the pipeline will pass.
