Uganda Cranes interim coach Abdallah Mubiru has announced a 23 man squad to face South Africa in a friendly game scheduled on 10th June 2021 at Orlando Stadium in Soweto, S.Africa. The selection has seen five U20 players that featured in the AFCON U20 tournament in Mauritania making the final squad. That’s Isma Muguluusi, Bobosi Byaruhanga, Aziz Kayondo, Derrick Kakooza, and Steven Sserwadda whereas the Uganda Premier League top scorer with 16 goals Vipers, Yunus Ssentamu is among the dropped players for the exercise. South Africa based duo Ismael Watenga and Moses Waiswa will join the team upon its arrival in the country. The contingent is expected to fly Monday night aboard Uganda Airlines.
