Kampala Lord Mayor Ssalongo Erias Lukwago, has today appointed Nyanjura Doreen, as Minister of Finance and administration along with two others.
While addressing the KCCA council meeting today Monday 9 at City Hall, Lukwago unveiled his three man cabinet he will work with for the remainder of the current term.
In her acceptance speech, Nyanjura thanked the Mayor for the trust and confidence exhibited and promised to work restlessly for the good of the people of Kampala city.
Nyanjura finds herself in the position, less than a week after she was defeated by fellow FDC KCCA delegate, Abubaker Kawalya of Rubaga division. Having been the candidate that was openly supported by Lukwago, her appointment to this very important office is widely viewed as a consolation to her loyal girl.
