“MBASOOSE OKWAMBALA ENGULE” ( I have worn the crown before all of you I people power) were the words that announced one of the Country’s finest bloggers Ashburg Kato’s end of a hitherto celebrated membership in the opposition outfit People Power.
This comes after the blogger met and had a private chat with President Museveni at his upcountry farm in Kisozi Gomba district over the weekend.
Days later, an excited Kato took to his social media platforms to announce his defection and also bragged for having managed to wear the crown that his former allies in opposition just dream about.
During the meeting where he had been led by events promoter and popular Museveni fixer – Balaam Burugahare, Ashburn Kato presented a proposal to the president intended to uplift the standards of Uganda’s urban ghetto dwellers. We have reliably learnt that the proposal was assented to by the joyous Museveni who promised to fund the youthful former regime foe to prosperity.
“Yesterday we visited President Museveni from his farm and he taught us farming… (Thank you Balaam Barugahara) I had gone to present my project proposal called THE GHETTO INITIATIVE which is going to see all Kampala ghettos revived.”He reported.
The president also took Kato and his other two companions through some vital basics of advanced farming and later donated 5 cows to Kato and 2 for each of the other two who had travelled with the blogger under strict instructions to implement what they had learnt at the farm.
“After teaching us all the basics of farming and rearing cows, the president gave me five cows (5) and he also gave my other team two cows each …. He asked us to implement and teach the farming skills he taught us to our fellow youths.” Kato further said.
This will be coming as bad news for the People Power leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu who has had to watch as many of his most trusted allies cross to the ruling National Resistance Movement in the past, raising questions over the younger Presidential hopeful’s efficiency I holding his team together as time draws nearer to next year’s general elections.
Somebody the notable Bobi allies to prematurely end their marriage with the Kamwokya based outfits include; Singers Jenepher FulFigure, APass, Bosmic Otim, Ronald Mayinja among others.
