Uganda has confirmed her first case of voronavirus on Saturday night.

While addressing the press, the Minister of Health Dr Jane Acheng said that the victim is a 36 year old Ugandan who had travelled to Dubai four days ago and returned in the country around 2 am on Saturday aboard Ethiopian airline.

“Uganda has confirmed her first case of voronavirus COVID 19.The victim is a Ugandan male aged 36 years of age, who returned to Uganda at 2 am a board the Ethiopian airline,” said Dr Jane Acheng, Minister of Health in his press address on Saturday 21.

On arrival at the airport,he was screened and showed a high temperature and subsequently proved positive after subsequent tests.

The victim had been kept in the government containment facility in Entebbe and had not yet met with his family after his return.

He has been kept at Entebbe grade B health facility and the Ministry of Health confirms he is in a fairly stable condition though with some fever.
